Student T-Cash Card Punjab is a flagship initiative of the Government of Punjab, launched under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The program aims to provide students with free or subsidized access to public transport, reducing financial burdens and making education more accessible for everyone.

Our Mission

What is the Student T-Cash Card?

The Student T-Cash Card is a smart travel card designed exclusively for eligible students in Punjab. It allows them to travel free or at discounted rates on public transport, including Metro Bus services, shuttle services, and local buses.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a resident of Punjab with valid domicile.
  • Must be enrolled in a government or recognized private educational institution.
  • Applicable for students from Grade 6 up to higher education (18 years of study).
  • Must hold a valid student ID or proof of enrollment.

Required Documents

  • CNIC or B-Form (for under 18)
  • Valid Student ID card
  • Recent passport-sized photograph
  • Proof of enrollment (admission letter, fee receipt, etc.)
  • Guardian’s CNIC (if the applicant is under 18 years old)

Application Process

  1. Create an account on the official portal.
  2. Fill in personal details and upload required documents.
  3. Submit the application and note the acknowledgment number.
  4. Track application status through the online portal.

  • Cashless Travel: Simply tap the card to travel.
  • Cost Savings: Significant reduction in daily commuting expenses.
  • Extra Features: Can be linked to scholarship programs, used for discounts at partner outlets, and integrated with digital student records.

Rollout and Expansion (2025)

  • Pilot testing began in Lahore and Rawalpindi.
  • Official rollout started in July 2025 in Lahore and Multan.
  • The program is expanding phase by phase to other districts of Punjab.

Card Distribution

  • After application verification, student data is processed by the Transport Department.
  • Cards are printed and distributed to students.
  • Students receive SMS or email notifications once the card is ready.
  • Cards can be collected from respective schools, colleges, or nearest public transport offices.

Current Coverage (Phase One)

  • Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, and selected other districts.
